NDTA SOFC
NTDA SOFC (Aplicaciones Energéticas de Cerámicas Avanzadas) is part of the NTDA Energía Holding. It was founded in January 2007 as a joint venture between University Jaume I of Castellón and NTDA Energía, an international leading company in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells. NTDA SOFC is located at the University Campus in Castellón.
NTDA SOFC focuses its efforts on the study of ground breaking technologies and cost effective production processing techniques for the industrial production of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells. Its goal is to become a leading producer of high quality state-of-the-art SOFCs. To achieve this goal, the company has set two primary objectives:
1) Developing the appropriate R&D stages to achieve cost effective solutions towards mass productions of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell.
2) Start up of a pilot Solid Oxide Fuel Production Plant.
Through the Institute of Ceramic Technology, the University Jaume I of Castellón contributes to the partnership by providing the private entity with the facilities, necessary material and expertise in ceramic materials and processes to develop R&D projects that have been defined by NTDA Energía´s core business objectives. On the other hand, NTDA Energía provides NTDA SOFC with the technical SOFC know-how and market relationships at international level to be act as catalyst for the rapid implementation of these technologies at European level.
